Educational Philosophy
The Joy Kids Learning Center (JKLC) is excited to offer an educational pr
ogram that utilizes developmentally appropriate practices that enhance the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of each child. The instructors are college educated, certified, and strive to create a fun, safe, respectful and Christian environment. The Joy Kids Learning Center believes that open communication between the teachers, students, administration, and parents is critical to the overall success of the children, the family unit, and the Learning Center. Parents are encouraged to be actively involved in their child’s education through volunteering at the center and participating in special events.
Joy Kids Learning Center utilizes the High Reach Learning curriculum (www.highreach.com). "The core of the High Reach Learning curriculum philosophy is Teaching and Interacting with purpose using Learning Zones. Helping teachers focus on learning approaches that can be developed during any type of experience or interaction, the Learning Zones take advantage of the back and forth interaction between teachers and children throughout the day." Joy Kids Learning Center also believes in the full development of children, which includes their spirituality. Therefore, daily activities are supplemented with Christian themes. Overall, our philosophy is to ensure that children and parents who participate in our programs find an environment that is fun and safe and one that encourages physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual development.
