Full Time Pre-K/School Age Teacher Assistant

Engage children in activities and play that stimulates their development.

Appropriately supervise children while keeping them safe at all times.

Assist in facilitating daily activities that are developmentally appropriate for school age children.

Maintaining an environment that is clean, organized, and safe for all children.

Establish a professional rapport with each family to provide quality care and friendly service.

Assist in managing a large group of children utilizing appropriate classroom management techniques.

Serve snacks to children and clean up the preparation and eating areas afterwards.

Maintain a professional self-image and project the values of the organization at all times.

Maintain attendance records of children participating in the school-age care.

Assist in the cleaning and straightening of the childcare rooms at the end of the day, as well as putting away any outside equipment.

Work cooperatively and effectively as a team member by communicating and contributing information on a continuous basis.

Continue professional development through attending workshops, conferences, and other staff development.

Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director.

Assist School Age Lead Teacher in curriculum: planning, implementation, and documentation and evaluation such as arts and crafts, group time, science, indoor and outdoor games, snack and lunch as indicated by the Director. Lesson plans, curriculum plans, supply requests, etc., are completed on time.

Able to lift 40 lbs.
Substitute Teacher
A Substitute Teacher/Aide will fill-in for permanent staff members at Joy Kids Learning Center on an as-needed basis. The Substitute Teacher/Aide will assist the staff in implementing an early childhood program based on sound principles of child development, interact positively with children, and act as an appropriate role model.
