Employment Application

Full Time Lead Teacher

A Lead Teacher at Joy Kids Learning Center will implement an early childhood program based on sound principles of child development, interact positively with children, and act as an appropriate role model. The teacher has knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for young children as well as knowledge of the principles of observation and assessment, curriculum development and implementation, and parent communication and support.

All Child Care Lead Teachers must be at least 25 years old. A lead teacher must have an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, or a Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field and 90 clock hours of early childhood training. A lead teacher must have at least three years of experience.  

All Teachers and Aides must be able to lift 30 – 40 lbs. daily.

All staff at Joy Kids Learning center must apply to be credentialed through the MSDE credential program within 6 months of hire.

Full Time Teacher Aide/Floater

The full-time teacher aide/floater at Joy Kids Learning Center will assist the teachers in implementing an early childhood program based on sound principles of child development. The teacher aide/floater will interact positively with the children and act as an appropriate role model and must be flexible and adaptable and able to work with different staff and children on short notice.

 

The teacher aide/floater must be at least 19 years old and hold the preschool 90- hour certificate and must complete 15 hours of continued training per year and within 6 months of hire complete an orientation session through MSDE.

 

All Teachers and Aides must be able to lift 30 -- 40 lbs. daily. 

Substitute Teacher

A Substitute Teacher/Aide will fill-in for permanent staff members at Joy Kids Learning Center on an as-needed basis. The Substitute Teacher/Aide will assist the staff in implementing an early childhood program based on sound principles of child development, interact positively with children, and act as an appropriate role model.
